Mattress Cleaning

Isn’t it interesting that while the average person spends 1/3 of their time in bed they might never think about cleaning their mattress. Most people don’t think to clean their mattresses simply because they’re always covered. But we clean our sheets, comforters and mattress pads but neglect the mattress. Cleaning a mattress is more than an appearance issue, it’s also a health issue.

Mattresses can be a perfect hiding place for allergens like dust, dead skin, dust mites and their feces, bacteria and unsanitary soils that may aggravate illness and allergies.

But you can protect your family by having your mattresses regularly cleaned.

Not only does our cleaning process remove all kinds of unhealthy soils and allergens, we can even apply a safe and effective Anti Allergen treatment to help you breathe easier.

If urine on the mattress is a concern we can help with that too. In order to clean urine on the mattress we need to have the mattress in our shop for a few days.

These are the steps we go through.

  1. Urine Treatment – Treat the affected area with a specific treatment for urine.
  2. Flushing Flush the affected area with large amounts of water.
  3. Speed Dry – Use high velocity air movers to dry the mattress completely.
  4. Preconditioning – The appropriate preconditioning solution for mattresses will be applied to “emulsify” (loosen) the soil.
  5. Agitation – The pre-conditioner will then be gently agitated through the fabric using soft upholstery brushes to loosen the soil.
  6. Soil Extraction – The soil is then rinsed and extracted from the mattress using our special upholstery cleaning tools.
  7. Speed Dry – High velocity air movers will be placed on the mattress to speed dry the fabric.
